The thing is, there usually IS no problem. No reason to start crying, and that's what bothers me. Normally, I'm the kind of person that doesn't really care what other people say, and that just makes the whole circumstance stranger.
But thank you for your input. I'll certainly try laughing next time; I haven't tried that yet.
I must've misunderstood, I thought it happened when you felt overwhelmed by issues in yr life - do you mean you feel overwhelmed from time to time for no reason?
Could be hormonal linked to menstrual cycle? I wouldn't worry about it unless it's seriously affecting your relationships or your study/work. A good cry is always ok, the more you worry about these episodes the longer they'll probably last.
I've found I get thru (now occasional) times of depression much faster if I just say to myself something like "Oh bugger here it is again, oh well it'll pass" and stay calm and gentle with myself.
Sometimes there is an issue that has me feel overwhelmed, but there are others that happen for no reason. The ones without reason are the only ones I'm really concerned about since I do know about the stress relieving qualities of a good cry. I sincerely doubt that menstruation has much to do with it; hormones are the more likely culprit.
Though I do find it pretty amusing that we both have the same basic thought when sadness rears it's ugly head.
Now I'm really confused - I don't get your distinction between the menstrual cycle and hormones? It's all connected and the menstrual cycle is surely all about hormones?
Yea, the menstrual cycle is all for screwing around with hormones, but mine doesn't have an affect of whenever I get overwhelmed. Therefore, normal hormones.
IIN to sometimes start crying uncontrollably for absolutely no reason?
