I've thought about it, and I know some symptoms are similar, but it happens rarely. And I'm usually not even feeling that sad, just overwhelmed. Nevertheless, I thank you for your advice. I'll be sure to contact someone if it does get worse.
It might help if you keep a look out for the signs of moving towards being overwhelmed - eg, mood swings, tired for no reason, whatever, different for different people and then do something about whatever is about to overwhelm you.

What you described is one of the symptoms of depression.If it gets worse,then plse ask for professional help.

Surely something that only happens ever 1-2 years can't be labelled as depression? Or do you mean there's an underlying depression?
I really find the instant diagnoses some IIN people give on here totally ridiculous and sometimes dangerous
