Is it normal to sniff your hands subconsciously?

I have a bizarre habit of smelling my hands, especially after I've eaten or after I've washed the dishes with dish washing liquid and bleach. During those times, I inadvertently keep my hands near my nose and sniff away. Is this normal!?!

    I always do this. Keeping in touch with smells is important in my opinion. I like smelling things.

    Yeah it's cool. I also bet you gain pleasure from simply using your nose period. I love smelling things. I don't like bad smelling things though.

    I do it all the time. If I like, stuck my hand in dirt or something, I would smell it to see what it scent was. :P

    I do it too, even if Ive touched something stinky like an onion and I know my hands will pong I still do it. Im doing it now cos Ive been painting lol
