  • I sneeze when I look at the sun. Ever since I was a kid. Strange

    • Sneezing when exposed to sunlight is a thing. My fiancé has it.

      • Maybe your fiance has a sun fetish?

          • Jocularity.

I actually have the bright light/sneezing thing too. I googled it and apparently about 1 in 7 people has it. Something about overstimulated optic nerves crossing up with other facial nerves.

Either that or I have a sun fetish too!!!

  • You have NO idea how much bad stuff I want to say now, just to make you sneeze.

  • I never knew this actually existed!

Whenever I write that I'm thinking about something dirty, I'll put *SNEEZE!* after it.

I don't really sneeze when aroused, though

  • I have it sometimes, too. I have also read a study researching the unusual phenomena triggering sneezing and sexual arousal was among them, also orgasms (some of the participants sneezed when orgasming, others when being or starting to be aroused sexually), sunlight (as mentioned by others) etc. So it happens to some people. Findings of the study I mentioned led the researchers to hypothesize that it has something to do with certain neural pathways (the same place in neural system being activated by different triggers in case of these people). It seems that not many people have this feature which you describe but there are some of them and it is normal, not a pathology.

        • :O I bare my soul to you about my secret lust for pigeons and you reveal it to the world?

Still, at least you didn't dress as a giant pigeon to prove the point. :P

            • *eyes the pigeon suit* Can I umm... borrow that? I'll make sure it's freshly laundered before you get it back. Not that it'd need to be, or anything. Umm, yeah. O.o
