If the step dad doesn't care for the girl then why would she want to go over there and why would he allow her? You'll probably say for the little brother but if it wasn't a pleasant visit I can't imagine her wanting to go. If my parents had split when I was a child I would have stayed at my step dads all the time. I love him and blood relations don't make a father.
