Is it normal to sleep in a garage by choice

I live with my parents. I have my own bedroom with a comfortable bed but on occasion I take a few pillows and blankets to the garage and sleep there for the night. maybe once a month I do this. is this crazy

    My 17 year old son lived in the garage at some stage. He just needed space from me, 8 year old sister and her little annoying friends because he was preparing for HSC. I think he is VERY normal, so am I.
