Is it normal to sleep better after watching or listening to horror stories?

So I tend to have a lot of issues sleeping. I have both insomnia and issues with PTSD induced nightmares. However I've noticed something interesting, if I watch horror themed media or listen to things like creepy pasta readings on youtube for about an hour before I lay down to sleep I get a much better, more restful sleep. I get to sleep faster and am a lot less likely to have PTSD nightmares. Is this really weird or have others had a similar experience? Thank you in advance for your time. So, is it normal for horror to help you sleep?
