Is it normal to seriously consider preparing for a catastrophe?
I never thought I'd be in that weird group of people who buy into all that end-o-the-world ruckus. I mean, I knew of people who actually bought a cabin in the middle of nowhere and stockpiled it in preparation for Y2K!
Anyway, I'm finding the conspiracy theories, end of time predictions, natural disasters and economic upheavals messing with my head.
I haven't done anything yet because the logistics of it seems pretty crazy to me, but I've been thinking I need to seriously prepare. I'm feeling like there will come a time when surviving will take serious effort. I often imagine how I could manage with a baby on my back. I guess if I were a millionaire then I'd be one of those millionaires with a multi-million dollar missile silo converted into a 'end of the world' bunker...but I'm not so I guess its just bottled water and a baseball bat for me :P
Do a lot of people feel this way?
