Despite it being true we are self-conscious about sounds or the act itself, the "result" IS a waste product. It may not exactly look pleasing, and often doesn't exactly smell inviting(one reason we have a build-in flush-mechanic and don't "store" them to bring them out with normal garbage). *shrug* I can do without being reminded of that beyond necessity.
PS: Of course all the above is not true for me, i shit glitter and fart rainbows that smell like roses.

I can't see what possible harm it does. I think it's much better to be open about normal bodily functions than to have a hang-up about it.
I've never understood the human need to be embarrassed about things that are so commonplace they happen to every single person every single day.
