There is nothing wrong with saying happy birthday to someone. That girl shouldn't say that you are weird for being nice, she should appreciate that you like her and you care. You could've been one of those mean mothers who don't like any of their son's girlfriends, but your not. Your son and that girl are over reacting and it is stupid.
