I have noticed people self diagnose things based off of symptoms that are not used to diagnose what they think they have. An example would be self diagnosing Asperger's due to social anxiety, or self diagnosing psychopathy due to hating people, or multiple personality disorder due to having a poor sense of self.
I have brought up my diagnoses here but I have been diagnosed by several doctors.
Some people who self diagnose are accurate but it seems there are more people who misdiagnose themselves.
Also 99% of online psych tests are invalid and make this problem worse such as the famous personality disorder test that will make anyone look crazy
