Is it normal to see your idiotic friend every week?

There's this friend of mine named Paul, and he asks for 4 cigarettes at a time which is too much, he's such an idiot, and he wants his afternoon cup of tea and his 6 o'clock cigarette, he's being watched constantly but he doesn't mind. So I went to his new house a few times and saw Paul, he's an old man with a bald head, grey hair and big eyes and also casual average-looking clothes, but dresses stylish when going to court, but I can't blame him for his behaviour, he has a severe mental difficulty, he can't help what he does. However when he's not getting his way he swallows rocks, but he's happy in his new house, and gives me a hug. For an idiot he can't be taken in by the bullshit, he has excellent defending skills, and tells the staff sometimes not to be stupid. He listens to some wild stuff on his CD player including (which is his fantasy) Kylie Minogue, the sexiest singer in the cosmos but not so sexy as to turn you off, Paul watches pornography, we both know it's natural to do that, but I don't think it's natural to go in public wanking yourself. However, Paul's a good man, and he always gets away with his troublesome behaviour, and his lies, because of his ignorant nature, they even give him his tea (in a cup) despite his misbehaviour, and they give him cigarettes every hour even when he's lying. So I met him as a second visit, listening to Kylie Minogue together, I was meaning to have a herbal tisane but I didn't bring it with me, he's always begging for cigarettes. Is any of this normal?

Well if you want to stop hanging out with him don't talk to him for a year then just leave. if you already have spent alot of time with him, just call him out on his bullshit and walk away he will maybe learn from his behavior when he loses a friend.
