  • People don't have auras. It's over saturation of the retina.
I used to try and see auras too -.-

You said you've been taking hallucinogens. I think we've found the route of your problem.

  • Well first thing you need to do immediately is taking advantage of the time you have now and protect yourself from losing your sanity.
You are sane now, but you will begin to lose your sanity if your not careful, and once that happens you won't be able to save yourself.

Think in terms of wilderness survival, you can't waste time, you only have untill sundown to build what you need to survive the night, untill you finally have that shelter and fire and food supply and can sustain yourself.

So before you start to go crazy, evaluate what is true and protect that knowledge. You can always rely on concrete logic.

At a seriouse state of insanity You can't detirmine what thoughts are conciouse and what thoughts are subconciouse. Your conciouse thoughts only come from your conciouse self. Your subconciouse thoughts (the voices) only come from your subconciouse.

You want to listen to your conciouse thoughts only.

Your subconciouse has no structural stability or rationality. Every thought you have comes to the mind subconsciously. As bits of information are fed through your subconciouse, they are processed into useable information. Basically, only a teeny tiny percentage of all information is processed into a sound thought. The rest is stored up untill when you sleep, when everything in your subconciouse is revisited in a stage of sleep called REM.

Sometimes, the subconciouse and conciouse are in conflict with each other, and usually the subconciouse wins. Our ability to get ourselve to obay our conciouse thought using our conciouse thought is called will power.

When we watch a scary movie, our conciouse mind wants to watch, it knows the movie is fake, it knows there's nothing to be afraid of. But even though we know this, the subconciouse gets scared and the subconciouse forces us to chose to stop watching anyways, and to continue to inspect the house and keep the lights on for no real reason. The reason is because the subconciouse like i said does not understand things, it just receives information. It cannot tell that the movie is fake. If we can manage to keep watching, it is because of our willpower to dissobay the subconciouse.

Usually when someone (like you) has these voices and visions, it is because somehow the subconciouse is passing on incomplete/unsound thoughts to the conciouse instead of storing it away like it should. I should note that the subconciouse cannot get rid of information without passing it on to the conciouse.

Drugs like the hallucinogens you took basically open up small holes in the filter between the subconciouse and conciouse mind. Usually, the filter is restored after the drugs ware off, in your case it seems you are still consciously picking up invalidated thoughts.

So I suggest you memorize the voices. Become fairly familiar with them. Then, repair that filter. Get good sleep and train yourself to deny these kind of thought. Eventually you will stop hearing them after developing your subconciouse to ignore them. Also, the thoughts usually come from something you think about that you unintentionally become very self aware of.

Also, when we hear thing, sound waves make our eardrums vibrate, those vibrations are read in bits of information, which are subconciousely put together rationally and then passed onto the conciouse and we experience the sound. mysteriouse voices are actually the sounds around you that your subconciouse is manipulating into what you hear. The subconciouse turns those bits of sound into the voice instead of what they should have been so that they match the invalid thought you are recieving. If there is silence and you hear the voices, they are from sounds in your memory.

    • Ok, look, there are a lot of problems with what you've just said, but I'll focus on the important ones. You said that it's important for the OP to hold onto their sanity now. I'm almost positive that that's not how mental illness works. If somebody is, say, schizophrenic, they can't just decide in the early stages to not develop schizophrenia. If you are hallucinating, you can't just decide to not hallucinate anymore by concentrating on filtering out your subconscious. That's not how it works. Sometimes concentrating on things you know to be true can help ground you if you're hallucinating, but you can't just will your brain to stop malfunctioning if you're developing mental illness.

Also, you said that you can always rely on concrete logic. No, actually, you can't. There are a variety of things that can happen to the human brain that will impede logical thinking. Logic can help, sometimes, but we know very little about what the OP is going through, so we don't know if their ability to reason is intact.

The brain is way, way more complicated than this struggle between conscious and subconscious that you're describing. It sounds to me like you're working with an extremely outdated model of how the brain works. As far as I know, there's no reason to believe that hallucinogenic drugs work by putting holes in the filter between the conscious and subconscious. In fact, different hallucinogens work by different mechanisms, and it's pretty irresponsible to tell somebody what's going wrong with their brain when you don't even know what drug they've been taking.

  • Well, perhaps you're seeing auras. Everything has an aura (or at least to my understanding).
As for the voices, it isn't completely normal, but it's not unheard of. I hear voices too, but they're rarely loud enough to understand.

  • I also realise that in this day and age, being diffirent from the crowd generates a lot of negative feed back and in some extream cases , HATE. Do not be afraid to think and experience things for yourselfs people. I recommend listening to Sadhguru's talks. He is such a wise and advanced human being. Things may then start to make more sense. Good luck on your journey .

Drug induced psychosis is only a tempory condition as long as you stay away from the stimulants and addictive drugs you will think clearly enough. I don't believe you are mentally I'll because you sound perfectly rational, (unless u just checked the place for bugs from the CIA under your chair) lol only kidding but yeah, all energy is good if you know how to channel it and cleanse n ground yourself and surroundings.

RA MA SA DA, SA SAY SO HUNG OM.

  • Hi there I just asked the very same question. But, fear not for if the majority of the population are sane and we are crack pots then...SUITS ME! I have been able to see colourful patterns in all things since I started to expand my consciousness through meditation and yoga practices. I can see aura's, like the energy in everything, I see this still as quite faint. But when I meditate BOY! I see the patterns and colours more intense. I have no history of mentle disease and have never been one for LSD BUT, never-the-less its happening. As for the strange voices, I have experienced this a couple of times like someone calling my name, etc. but hearing it in my ears not my mind. I believe that we are more then just the mind and body we are temporarily trapped in. We are a higher consciousness, just waiting there all this time to be tapped into. The reason this practice is considered scary or nonsense is because people are so conditioned by social media, the tv, the lies we are taught in school, the bullshit we wear everyday from the government.....these are all just instruments of mind control to keep us docile and obedient. I think any sane person should look something up and experience it themselves before passing judgement. Because the truth is we don't know anything really. Trapped in a box all our lives and mind controlled like toddlers ! Think for yourselves and question the world. What are people really so afraid of.? I go now in love and peace! Bless u all xx

  • You are not necessarily schizophrenic, at least not right now. You recognize that these things are not typical or normal since your posting it on here, so you are currently fairly logical and sane. However, what is happening to you is like another poster said that the drugs have opened up your mind to the subconscious. Unlike what the other poster said, there IS ORDER TO THE SUBCONSCIOUS. It's just a very vastly different type of order than what we are used to. It takes the form of metaphor. Almost everything that you are hearing and seeing probably may have meaning, but only metaphorically. Do not use any more hallucinogens, because that will only make your problem worse. If you are functioning in the world, it may be possible to continue on without seeing a doctor about this because doctors often do not know how to treat such issues and end up giving someone in a situation like yourself medications that have possibly harmful effects in and of themselves. The hallucinations your having seem to have a very clear theme which is that your alone in sanity and that everyone else is crazy. You can interpret that in whatever way fits you, just it probably isn't a literal statement because the unconscious lives off of metaphor. Unlike what the previous poster said, you are probably going to continue to hear voices now at least from time to time, but that does not mean that you can't function in society.

  • I can see energy too! c: But only if I concentrate a bit. It's easier for me to see it when I look at my own shadow, and you just move your head to the side and you see that the smokey pattern comes from your head :D hahah

  • U might hav synesthesia but idk bout the voices

    • if it were synesthesia, it would be more along the lines of feeling a texture when hearing a sound or tasting something while looking at something else. this is just hallucination and hearing voices.

schizofrenia, IMO, but because of all the DRUGS (you should slow down if it's starting to fuck with you like this) your brain is so hopped up on chemicals and serotonin...relax. if you recognize that you're hearing voices and seeing shit, obviously it isn't (sober-)normal.
