Is it normal to say i love you to your best froend

Ok so im a guy and my best friends a girl and we both "like" each other :P but we live 1,000 miles away and that's why we aren't dating.. But every night before we go to bed we say "I love you"... Idk if it really means anything... Is this in any way shape or form normal???

    well wether it actually means anything or not only you AND she can decide but saying "I love you" does not necesarily mean anything
