Is it normal to rewatch the same tv show all the time?

About a year ago I started watching the show Bojack Horseman. It quickly became one of my favorite shows, especially after the huge emotional impact it left on me.

However, now I just put it on all the time. I rarely watch new shows, and I put it on when I go to sleep or when I'm doing busywork. I'm at the point where I know exactly when, why, and where everything is going to happen and I can even recite some parts of the script.

It's gotten to the point where my family has made comments about how many times and how long I've been watching it.

Is this normal?

I’m rewatching Dr. Who right now. Probably the 6 or 7th time. Most the time I just put on my favorite tv shows and let them play as the soundtrack to my life.

I can see that. In the newer version I tapped out once it got to the old Scottish dude. He just annoyed me.

I am currently re-watching Batman Beyond, it was an awesome cartoon another one I did re-watch recently was Batman: The Brave And The Bold.

( In retrospect they were good cartoons. )

I might consider re-watching the whole entire series of The Batman cartoon.

I watch quite a few shows over and over. It's not something I would've done in the past but for the last 10 years or so, I do it all the time. I like watching some new shows too but often I just want the noise or to kinda half-watch it, so putting on an old show serves the purpose.

  • I'll put kinda meh shows on to sleep to, like Monk or South Park. But even with shows I'm rewatching, if I liked them I get too sucked in to fall asleep, like with Bones or Grimm. Shows like that and new shows like Buffy I coerce myself into watching them interactively

House M.D is a show I've watched multiple times. It's okay. Everyone has a comfort show or hobby.
