Is it normal to release your anger on customer service people?

They have to take it, especially when you have a legitimate complaint, because you have all the power. It doesn't apply to anything else in life except maybe pets.

Is It Normal?

  • Where I work customers that act spoiled, angry, or annoying are usually considered entertainment by employees and other customers. In other words everyone sees them as unintelligent fools. XD

  • As a former customer services person I can say that people like you give us the most entertainment. Your anger amuses us :)
Fucking with animals is pretty lame though.

Interesting. You seemed to be totally cool with it when it was lgras inflicting pain and death on animals...

  • Yeah your a dick, innocent people trying to earn a living don't deserve shit like you to take out your anger on them, I have anger too, I punch the shit out of stuff in my house, example pillows and couches, it releases the anger fairly well and no one gets hurt..... expert for the poor pillows and couches lol

  • It also applies to children

  • Only if they're black then its perfectly normal

  • Only if the customer service people are the ones causing the anger. I've gone at it with my cable and net provider tons of times over bills, outages, etc.. Many times, they're completely clueless, or tow the company line, likely reading from a script instead of actually trying to help. That's when I lose it on them.

  • Wow, now I know I shouldn't be in customer service.

  • Treating customer service representatives like shit on the phone is a great way to get continuously transferred and hung up on for the better part of your day.

  • Only normal if they are treating you badly

  • It's normal for a lot of people. Personally however I've never done that and don't intend to.
