You need to seek professional help immediately. Maybe you have been through a traumatic experience in your life that you replay repeatedly in mind or life in order to gain control of feeling helplessness and pain. Killing might be a way to fill this void but it will only make things worst. Try to find the good person you once were. It seem you have an interest in animals may I suggest volunteering at an animal shelter or something along the line. You might feel a little better.
