Is it normal to realize the thousands strong caravan is a us invasion?

Think about it. Thousands of people (mostly military age men from what I’ve seen) from another country force their way through one country (Mexico) and march towards another country (the US) with the intention of entering whether legally or illegally. They literally overwhelmed Mexican border police, tearing down barriers. They march en masse holding their country’s flag. When here they will take jobs, take tax-paid handouts, overwhelm our facilities and programs meant for our own poor, never pay any taxes, and some will commit crimes against us. These aren’t people fleeing an evil country, they’re flying their country’s flag as they force themselves across our border. Even immigrants from there already in the US legally warn us to stop them and that there are bad people in this mob.

I think it’s normal to see this as more of an invasion than anything else. You?

I don't really care what it's called. I'm all for legal immigration and giving people a chance at life in the US. But, if this turns into a bum-rush on our border in an effort to overwhelm our border security as hundreds or thousands slip in illegally - that's wrong and has to be dealt with.

I'm sure by now we have a load of intelligence operatives infiltrated in the caravan to assess the threat level. Also, keep in mind that drug smugglers and human traffickers use distractions like this to do their business cross-border when border security is overwhelmed. I imagine that's why Trump and others are calling for military support to protect the border while border patrol does their job to process the immigrants.

Them coming here legally I have no problem with that. Also as far as I can tell most legal immigrants only have problems with illegal immigrants. A lot of people who come over from mexico just feel like they don't have a lot of options in mexico and when they come over here they send a lot of money back to mexico to help there families. Even talking all that into account it doesn't excuse illegals, but a lot of them aren't inherently bad people.

Not bad people perhaps. They are criminals though and should be treated as criminals.

Yeah, but I wrote that comment before I even knew about the caravan. I thought the author was just overreacting to immigration. Since most of the people in the caravan are from Honduras and say that they all want to come to America for asylum, but refused when they were offered asylum by Mexico it makes me think they are coming here for purely selfish reasons. Not to mention that the United Nations is trying to force us to let them in because the people marching here are claiming it's for asylum and that we should let in all of them because it's there human right. It's all stupid.

My hope is we just stop them at the border. Don't detain or spend a dime on them.

Hopefully a drug cartel will take them for a ride somewhere.

        I doubt your truthfulness.

I don't get it, CW. Why even ask OP this question if you don't trust them to answer truthfully?
