IIN to read a book for the setting rather than the actual story?

  • I totally do this--especially when it's set in place like New York or the British Isles. Some people read books to live out the life of the main character & an aspect of the main character's life is where they live. So if what you're craving is to feel like you live in a certain area, then it makes total sense. Though...I always try my best to choose a book for both the setting *and* the plot, simply so I don't feel like I kind of wasted my time after I read it ;)
