Is it normal to randomly have spasms?

Every so often, my entire body will tremor, starting from usually my head/neck working down to my feet. On other occasions my hands will start shaking, causing my to inadvertently throw objects--usually across the room.

Neither is ever painful, though the full-body spasms cause some brief discomfort. Is this normal? I haven't seen it happen to anyone else, and am starting to become concerned.

Most of the time spasms aren't normal in the first place...

I think you need a trip to the doctor. That does not sound good... At all...
    Hope things get better!

It's not seizures if that helps any, those cause confusion and a lot of other symptoms. It's normal, but still worth getting checked out. Depending on how old you are could mean different things. If you're a teenager then your body could be reacting to stress and such.

However, I suffer from 'twitches' and full body convulsions (and I'm not dying or anything, still waiting on a few test results). Though, yours seem to be in a bit of a different category. Only get worried if you're family has a history of a a disease with similar symptoms. Otherwise, it's probably nothing but might still be worth getting checked out just in case.
