I suggest that you seek counseling. This is a major decision and shouldn't just be taken without the proper information. They usually start you out by taking hormones so your body can get used to it and become more feminine. But you have to take them the rest of your life...
Research this and find out everything and talk to a counselor so you know exactly what you need to make this choice.
I wouldn't say this is normal, it is rare, but it does happen. If you do end up going through with the sex change I hope it all goes well :)

It's not normal, because it's very rare for people to feel that way...but it's known that people go through that. Make sure you get A LOT of counseling before you make that decision. I think there's actually counseling specifically FOR gender reassignment patients to make sure you know what to expect & all the emotions of hormone therapy..etc. Good luck.

Yes, this is perfectly normal, people get curious all the time. Maybe you really do want to switch genders, maybe you don't, but don't let other people hold you back. I actually have been in a similar situation as you, a straight male who has questioned his gender identity. So don't worry about it.

It is normal. At some point in our lives everyone wonders what it would be like to be the opposite gender. For some of us it overwhelms us and we feel a need to be that. But know, you will never truly be the opposite gender. Science hasnt progressed far enough to change you into a man or woman from what you already are, just to make you look different.
