Is it normal to question my benifits

So I am diagnosed with ADHD mainly when I was a minor, I had stopped receiving my Social Security benefits for my disability (for ADHD )around a couple months before I turned 18 ..I am applying for my social security benefits once again and wondering if they are going to approve me since I was already eligible enough to receive Social Security benefits sense I do have a disability .. If I end up getting these benefits my dream of finnaly going to school will come true and I can get the help I need for my attention deficit. all conclusion my question is since I was able to get Social Security benefits before 18 ,will they still give me my benefits now ? And how long could it take ...help ,give me your opinion .
