Is it normal to put soap on your eyebrows

I have really crazy eyebrows... my hairs on my eyebrows fly everywhere. so I put soap on them to make them stay down. and by the time the soap is dried up, my eyebrows are in perfect condition. is this normal?

just trim them and then use vaseline to keep them in place...
