Taunt, Teasing, and scaring sound a little extreme, maybe you mean like imitating, (I don't have one for teasing), and sneaking up on? But I used to hold my kittie and sing to her, and I try to hold my puppy's paws from time to time.
I also poke my Chinchillas when they're sleeping.
As long as your not hurting them then it's all good fun
Hah, I'm right there with you. Besides, it's never a bad idea to get any animal used to having its feet touched or held, that just makes the inevitable nail clipping easier.
And yeah, I'll admit to poking my kitties when they're asleep, just for the satisfaction of having them "Mrrrh~?" at me, looking somewhere between annoyed at being woken up, and waiting for me to give them attention.
Agreed, if it's not harmful to them and you're not doing it incessantly, there's nothing wrong about it.
IIN to purposely annoy your pets?
