I hate shopping for clothes with others. I don't want to hear their opinions on me being on the wrong side/not wanting to conform to their ideals of how I should dress, or disbelief on how much I've grown and must buy different sizes in clothing. It's maddening enough having to worry if the store clerks are going to give me a hard time.
With my clothes, I now will either order them through the mail or have someone call them in. It is definitely less the hassle
With groceries, I always shop with my relative, who does the shopping for my mother. While she hasn't done it in awhile, she used to nitpick what I had in my cart when we were at the check out line. It is very embarrassing to have someone demand to know if you really need something, if you have ever tried it, etc.
Is it normal to prefer shopping alone?
