Is it normal to prefer mechanical pencils over regular pencils?

So i really love to draw and write, but for some reason i just cannot use a regular pencil. well it's not that i can't use a regular pencil, it just feels very uncomfortable. that's why i always use Bic mechanical pencils. So is it normal?

    It would be abnormal if you DIDN'T prefer mechanical pencils.

    When I was in fifth grade, I would only use mechanical pencils. What about the kind where you pull the lead out of the point, and put it into the top of the pencil? Do you ever use those?
