haha sounds fairly normal to me. It's an interesting texture. I work as an assistant pahtologist and did this with a human liver once. All parts of all animals feel different. I think it's perfectly normal to see flesh as what it is, another meaningless collection of molecules. Nothing gross about it. Do watch out for salmonella though.
