Damn, these people who are seriously urine-phobic and apparently believe piss is a festering soup of disease organisms looking for their chance to infect any passerby. I guess their mommies must be so proud; they trained them really well.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with pissing in the sink. It ends up going down the same drainpipe as the contents of the toilet and a quick splash of water from the tap will wash away any dribbles and clear the drain of any urine so it doesn't smell.
Even if there are significant numbers of pathogens in your urine (which is unlikely), it's highly improbable that they will ever infect anyone else. Lots of mommies warn their kids that they can catch nasty diseases off of toilet seats, but there are few pathogens that can survive drying out for long, and even the ones which have survived that need to be in contact with a mucous membrane in order to cause an infection. So, basically, in order for someone to get ill from your urine in a sink, you'd have to be pretty damn ill yourself, and they'd have to come along and lick the sink immediately after you'd pissed.
If there's nobody in your house who has this habit, I'm sure your water-conservation measure is perfectly safe.
Is it normal to pee in the sink?
