You're saying that the sink in your bathroom is connected to a different waste line than the toilet right next to it?
I don't know where you live, but I'm familiar with plumbing systems in the USA and Europe, and I know for a fact that it all goes down the same pipe in every house I've ever lived in. There will be some primitive rural properties or places built by those wanting to be "green" who route their drainage separately (so the sink just goes out to a pipe ending on the ground, or it's routed into a container used for irrigating plants), but that is definitely not to code anywhere, and it's highly unusual.
Is it normal to pee in the sink?
