Oh but you will have to ditch the camper for Tasmania. It's better to just fly there from the mainland and maybe hire a car and stay in some bed and breakfast/hotels. Tasmania is small and cold and not as well equipped for the campervan lifestyle. It's beautiful though, definitely do it as part of your trip.
Yeah, I know people who have done it, but I think if you you've not been before and you're new to the camper thing it's not a great idea. It's certainly not as easy and convenient as it is on the mainland.
Too bad we came across each other here because the house sitting gig was sooo in my lane - I love to be in the wilderness with animals and away from people!!!

There are websites you can sign up to and find decent housesitting gigs. My friend did it whilst she saved up to buy her own place.
