Is it normal to pay a house/pet sitter?

  • Oh but you will have to ditch the camper for Tasmania. It's better to just fly there from the mainland and maybe hire a car and stay in some bed and breakfast/hotels. Tasmania is small and cold and not as well equipped for the campervan lifestyle. It's beautiful though, definitely do it as part of your trip.

    • My aunt and uncle just got back from taking their camper round Tassie for over a month.

      • Yeah, I know people who have done it, but I think if you you've not been before and you're new to the camper thing it's not a great idea. It's certainly not as easy and convenient as it is on the mainland.

        • Idk why I read what you wrote incorrectly. I blame the jet lag and stomach virus. Sorry.

      • Too bad we came across each other here because the house sitting gig was sooo in my lane - I love to be in the wilderness with animals and away from people!!!

        • There are websites you can sign up to and find decent housesitting gigs. My friend did it whilst she saved up to buy her own place.
