It all depends on how good a friend this person is.
Would they be willing to help you move again? There answer tells you how they feel about it.
Unless they are really very good friends... methinks $100 these days for 2 days of moving is rather cheap on your part.
As for everyone saying beer and pizza. Your best friends will do that; and they expect you to help them on the same basis (would you?). I've rarely found people willing to show up a 2nd time on that deal (even if I've spent 10-20 days at their house helping them renovate - they seem to feel that helping me 1 day equals the scales).
This... I've helped people renovate, painted their house, helped other people move, but when I had to move... Only one of my friends agreed to help me.
Is it normal to pay a friend $100 for helping with two days of moving?

Isn't that always the way.
I have a long memory for this stuff. These days I know which friends are worth making the effort for, and which aren't.
