    Two pairs of boots (one for walking, one with steelies for working), two pairs of trainers, six of seven pairs of smart shoes. No wellies at the moment, but I was thinking of buying some.

      You have to wear steel toed boots for work? I thought I read somewhere that you were a teacher. Maybe I have that all wrong.

        Ahh, I've got such a varied job that there are times I enter environments where I need protective gear (mostly a high-vis jacket, hard hat, and steelies and, in other parts of my job, I need protection from biological agents, and also from live animals (some of which may be carrying illnesses harmful to humans). We have a double steel cage (a cage within a cage) which surrounds an elevator shaft, so the lift opens into the inner cage. I always feel like James Bond when I use it.

            It's way too hard to explain. I would love to be a butcher or policeman or welder. Something that can be summed up in one word. I don't really have a job title.
