      • None of those are relevant to the discussion. The discussion is that sex toys for masturbating can be prefered over sex with another person. You're trying to conflate sex with emotional bonding/relationships, or an abundance of masturbation. It seems like you've tried to find relevant citations but couldn't have just gone with the next...Well, I can't say "best" thing but next thing you think is relevant.

So I'll ask again. Citation needed.

        • I mean, the discussion was about people who are depressed or isolated and using masturbation as a substitute for human contact or people whose masturbation was causing problems in life. For the third time now, masturbation is fine and CAN be preferred at times. I already said that. 3 times. But if it's causing problems or causing someone to remain isolated and not have relationships then it is a health issue. Denying the desire for physical contact is a common reaction from people who are depressed, have social anxiety, etc. Usually causes more isolation and worse depression. As shown.

          • No, the subject was about people prefering sex toys over the real thing. You also assume that people need to be in a relationship to have physical contact.

            • We covered people who have a fetish or legit prefer the toy so yes, the discussion was only about men who are suffering without physical contact. Lying to oneself about the lack of, or lack of desire for, real relationships is a problem. The need for and benefits of intimacy and relationships is documented. Plenty of people suffer from depression, addiction and social issues that cause a snowball effect which causes more isolation and worse social problems. Some people use drugs or alcohol and some use other things (masturbation, prostitution, fantasy lives, internet, etc) as a crutch or an excuse to not change. People let themselves go and rather than work on things they make excuses. And they suffer, which is not not a joke or just a talking point. It is actual people suffering and its not a controversial observation.

                - So the initial discussion has ended with you conceding the point. I don't care much for going in to this next topic, so I'll leave it at that.
