really? I'm pretty sure nicotine isn't a chemical added to tobacco, but a secondary compound synthesized by Nicotiana tabacum [and other nicotiana plants] for its herbicidal properties... that humans like to smoke... because lets admit it we love our alkaloids. Rolling your own only has the added benefit of being cheaper, it is still harvested the same way as well (same chemicals applied), amount of nicotine will depend on company harvest dates, plant health, and chemical applications the big companies add for that special kick the FDA grudgingly allows.
actually, most big cigarette companies add extra stuff into their product to make it more addictive. and i smoked roll your own cigs (loose house tobacco from Smoke Shops) on and off for 3 years ( maybe smoked at least 1000 cigs) and i was never addicted or had the least hint of a craving. i'd only smoke when either high or drunk to get the cool buzz sensation, sometimes to wake me up, or sometimes when my friends would step outside for a cig, so i'd go ahead and light one up even if i didn't particularly want to.
Is it normal to only smoke cigarettes at social occasions.
