oh, yeah... there's that. I don't drive and I'm usually at home but the tolerance/abstinence sure has been problematic. Maybe I'll try quitting it cold turkey. thanks for the info and advice
No problem. Please think of your health more often. I'm not here to tell you what to do, I'm just saying statistically you're better off and you're more likely to live longer by sleeping.
It's not the lack of sleep itself that is deadly, unless you somehow force your body with drugs or pain to stay awake. Not sleeping greatly weakens your immune system and messes up your bodily functions. Especially your nervous system. Plus, even if you do just pass out, it could be while you are driving or outside. You could get in a wreak, or if you just pass out in a random building or outdoors someone could kidnap you. You will also be less mentally alert and more likely to experience a fatal accident.
Your chances of survival are far lower if you sleep as little as possible. I would definitely suggest sleeping more if you care about your safety.
Is it normal to only sleep 3 nights per week?

really? I might eventually pass out, but I never heard of people dying from lack of sleep...

Especially when the caffeine and modafinil become less effective due to adrenal fatigue.
