It can't be proven against, either, since humans cant perceive everything. Religion is about more than just "being a good person". I am not religious but I don't understand why atheists must hate those who are. Especially when it seems "religion" is synonymous with "Christianity" to many of them.
That said... I don't really get what the OP is on about... Non-religious makes one dark-sided..? Okay, god warrior..
I never said atheism can be proven either. I'm actually more agnostic than anything. I think you may have misunderstood me. I know there is more to religion than being a good person but people who think you cannot be a good person without religion do not know what they are talking about. I have also heard religious people say things like "I would do "insert bad behavior" if God wouldn't punish me for it." This shows that their good intentions are simply based out of fear.

True, but the burden of proof is on the people who claim a certain God exists to back up their claim, NOT on the people who don't claim such a thing to disprove it. That's the world turned upside down.
I mean, if I were to say the Celtic God Cernunnos really exists, would it be your job to disprove my claim? Of course not. It would be mine to prove it.
Yeah. I agreed with you btw, that the burden of proof is on the ones who claim god is real. but in my opinion, he IS real, just in THEIR mind... and if that's what helps them through the day, then I can't be bothered. and to those types of people, that is their solid foundation.. I guess. to each his own
God indeed is real in the minds of those who believe he is. That's HIGHLY subjective of course and therefore certainly NOT a solid foundation. What helps them through the day is a whole different matter though...

I think people should have a solid foundation for their beliefs, otherwise it's just ridiculous. Proof is an excellent foundation.
