Is it normal to only have 3 friends

I'd honestly rather have 3 really close friends than have 300 "fake" friends

You don't need a lot of friends. Having only a couple true friends is a good thing. I have 3 friends as well and they are awesome.

Quality, not quantity. I have friends that I don't talk to anymore because they're married with children, one friend just moved away and stopped replying to my messages (and didn't hang out with me before she left even though she promised she would, didn't even say goodbye to me), and one I ended the friendship with because she was rude all the time. And I have one I can relate to that I love dearly, like a twin. As long as me and her are always friends, I don't care if I ever speak to the rest of them again.

Of course it's normal, I only have 3 friends as well and I couldn't be happier. I think it's better to have 3 real and genuine friends then to have 10 friends who don't really care.

You're better off than me. I can't say I have more than two true friends.

I have 2.5 friends if it makes you feel better

Sometimes it's not the quantity of friends but the quality
