Well I am pretty mentally ill, so I am already getting therapy for that. I have OCD, anxiety, and depression. How do you think mentally ill people are supposed to fix their issues? By eating oranges and doing yoga?

Psychology is ok cause you're in control but Pyschiatrists will mess with your mind and treat you like a lab rat for new medicines.
If you need help with anxiety find a good psychologist to do cbt with so that you control your fate. For depression, find a way, possibly through cbt, to change the circumstances of your life.
Drugs won't help in the long run. I'm not saying depression is chemical but its happening for a reason and its better to find the source and change it.
I know you were joking but yes diet and things like yoga help with both depression and anxiety because they change yyour brain chemistry naturally.
I dont have experience with OCD so I dont know what that is about but best of luck.
I saw shrinks (psychiatrists) for decades for depression and anxiety and all they did was fuck me up worse and drain my bank account.
You could tell them you're not shopping for antiques. You could also tell them to bugger off. Its kinda good when they're married, because then you can straight up tell them that you're not that kinda girl, or you're not a home wrecker, and you can also tell them shame on them for wanting to cheat or their wives. They can be rude when their stupid feelings are hurt, but don't take it personally, because hurt feelings shouldn't matter when the person with the hurt feelings has dishonorable intentions. If they insult you just ignore them, because like I said it's just their foolish pride.

Don't listen to him, he's an older dude who's probably turned on by your problem.
