Hey come on guys. People can't help what they are attracted to. It's her bodies natural reaction and I believe that if she could change it she would.
In a biological sense, her unconscious mind is looking for the perfect partner to father her children with, to give them the best possible chance of survival.
If being with someone she considers unattractive disgusts her, it would both be unfair to herself and the other person if she pushes the relationship. That being said, we live in a world based on looks (lets be honest) and all those perfect 10 guys are probably looking for perfect 10 girls. Being, as you say, 'average', you're going to have a tough time landing you perfect partner.
True :/ I looked this up after posting and I think it's normal to have higher standards as a woman since women can only get up to 40 children/ lifetime while men can get up to 1000. And I also found that statistically, relationships where the woman is more attractive than the man tend to last longer, so sucks for me :/
