Is it normal to obsess over and constantly talk about your neighbors?

Tell ure parents to shut up

I think thats a normal thing to do. But, it gets a bit annoying sometimes. A lot of times when people talk badly about other people they feel insecure. Maybe your parents have a tinge of jealously towards your neighbors that they'd rather not show. So, it gets sooo annoying I know. My parents would always talk about their friends or neighbors behind their back. I personally think its gross and they should just stop talking to them or seeing them, or in your case move if they're so much of a nuisance! Urgh ha well good luck dealing with your parents!!

They are not being much of an example, are they? You feel disappointed, and that is understandable. Well, their behaviour isn't admirable, just put it down to the gossipy and negative side of human nature. I hope they are OK in other ways.

yeah its normal... i guess your parents had some kind of problems with your neighbors before? maybe they had a relationship with them that went sour? your parents will eventually get tired of talking shit and move on.
