It's spelled plague. And it wasn't called the black plague. It was called the Black Death. And there wasn't a specific date for it. Epidemics started in the 1340's and infections continue unto to the present day, but were particularly widespread in the Middle Ages.
Is it normal to observe so much at a young age to be a philosipher?
