Is it normal to not wash your hands after using the bathroom
I am wondering if anyone else doesn't wash there hands when they are in a hurry. I am not worried about it because I hardly ever get sick, maybe once a year if that.

Washing your hands in a public is so useless in my opinion, just touching the door handle to leave the bathroom, you'll get everyones germs. Sounds counter productive to me.
And what's your description of "washing"? I see so many people just put their hands under the water and claim their hands are clean.
Ok...but don't you touch the stall doors and the stall locks? Those things are nasty! That alone is reason enough to need to wash your hands. And then to exit the bathroom, use a paper towel for the door handle!
AND...the point of washing your hands is not just for YOU! It's for the people you will interact with! We don't have your germs, but will get them from you by touching you. You may be immuned to your own germs already, but not everyone else is.
I also agree with one of the above comments that it's not just to not get sick...it's just disgusting because it's grimy and sooner or later, you're gonna get smelly hands. By the way, have you ever had to clean a public restroom? Maybe then you would change your mind. I've seen some sick stuff you cannot imagine...
Anyways, it's a good habit to wash your hands periodically throughout the day no matter what.
The keyboard on your computer probably has more germs than the dirtiest public toilet seat. You touch money before paying for your Mac or your coffee and donut..and then you eat with those hands.
Without bacteria on your body you would die. Your mouth has millions of bacteria...and they protect you. Learn to live with the little bugs..they are your friends.!!
It's normal. I do it 90% of the time but sometimes I don't because I'm not too worried about getting sick.
If you don't wash your hands as often, you're actually less likely to get sick whereas if you wash them A LOT then suddenly don't, you're likelihood of getting sick is greater because your body isn't as immune to the germs as they would be if they were constantly exposed to them.
