  • It's not going to kill you? Probably not as major as that, but it can cause pretty nasty diseases. The majority of these illnesses will mostly affect others because of your high disregard for general hygiene. For instance, you could give yourself hand, foot and mouth disease or giardiasis which is a parasitic illness of the intestine. You could give yourself and others hepatitis A which is a viral liver infection. You could also give yourself or someone else shigellosis which is a bacterial infection. These are all diseases transferred from fecal matter, and could result in some serious diseases; symptoms of which can last up to 6 months. Even though you think you're not doing much harm to yourself, you can cause all of these and more in other people if you touch them or handle food and drink if you show disregard to basic sanitary measures. Hand washing takes a very small amount of time and could potentially save you and others from contracting serious illnesses. Please think about others before you walk out with shit on your hands.
