I sometimes see the leader of my favourite metal band on the bus ride home. I've never talked to him. I'm so afraid he'd be mean or wouldn't like me. But I know in reality he's just some dude taking the bus and I may be the only one who recognices him.
So yes, I think it's normal and I can relate to it. I just can't help you.
