Most people I know that went to college didn't get those high paying jobs they were promised despite the fact that they worked hard in college, had a concrete plan, and high hopes/dreams. They're between 20,000-100,000 dollars in debt, they can't afford to feed themselves or their kids so they're on foodstamps, they can't afford a house so they live with their parents, and they have minimum wage jobs that barely pays the bills. They feel cheated and lied to. Some a bit suicidal. People look down on them saying "you didn't try hard enough" or "you're lazy" but that's not the case at all. I never went to college and they envy me. They should be the ones making more money than me and they should be the ones that are happy, but they're not.
