Yes, having really good friends is a lot of work. And I sometimes don't want to make the effort. That's very normal. But anything worth having will require effort and will require overcoming some of my private feelings. As for your disliking good byes, no one likes them but life is full of good byes. The poet said it best, "Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."
