It is normal: you wanna take time to heal. A break up is never easy to get over with, and when it is really bad, it's obviously even harder to go through. So it's okay to take your time. Now, it shouldn't last for too long (but I guess it depends on the length of our realtionship). And just keep in mind that everyone is different, and that the person you'd meet is not gonna be your ex, and that your story is most likely going to be different. :)

it was the same way for me. i just started to try to go out with people. you have to try and go on even if you have lost interest. if your waiting to see if that person takes you back go out with someone and if your ex wants you back they will fight for you.
