Is it normal to not wan to touch the floor when your scared?

Every time I am watching a scary movie or it's dark and I get paranoid, I can't touch the floor. I can't put my feet on the floor or touch It or look at it. I creeps me out! So.... IIN?

    you might think a monster is going to grab you from under neath or come from the floor? If so carry a baseball bat around. It should be silver and sleep with it too.

    i feel like i need to touch the wall behind me, so i can see everything infront of me. and make sure no1's watching me while i cant see. but no not the floor.

    I used to be like that going to bed. Like someone could be hiding under my bed ready to grab my ankles and pull me under.

    I do that I feel like something might grab me or it just is less scary to keep them up so I think it's normal...

    Umm it's normal to pull ur knees to ur chest but being scared of the floor...strange
