If someone enjoys sex and has a variety of sex partners why would someone shame them for this. Whats wrong with being a slut? And what is it another persons business anyway. I dont get it. Someone please enlighten me.
Jealousy, insecurity, self loathing (afraid of their own depravity), denial, envy, fear.
I've noticed that those with good sex lives don't slut shame and people who are secure in their relations don't slut shame. What's that tell you?
I agree, people who “slut shame” are just jealous/envious that they aren’t having as much sex as they want. Just look at incels, they’re the most bitter ones that girls are having sex.
At the end of the day what concern is it if others how much sex someone else is having? Lol.
One definition of a slut is just someone's who's getting more and better sex than the slut shamer.
I really dont know how to feel about this. I guess it depends on the context. Like if a person male or female is leading people on making them think they are in a committed relationship and then sleeping around, yeah they are a filthy slut and should be ashamed, but if they are just promiscuous and aren't betraying anyone then who cares?
Sadly, it is normal for people not to understand what slut-shaming is or why it's bad. It's usually done by men who take it for granted that sleeping around is a good thing for men but a bad thing for women.
Lets limit our conversation to 'sluts' you dont have sex with cheating spouses and use contraception and condoms. Or at least those that get themselves checked for STD's with some regularity. Because I think these are true for most promiscuous people. Perhaps I'm wrong but infidelity and unwanted pregnancies are other issues outside of the one posed. Thanks for the comments.

I'm a little confused, if you've single; ENJOY what makes you feel good. If you're married & your spouse is OK with it, again, ENJOY what makes you feel good. But always be honest.
Can a man be a slut? A male who has sex with lots of women can also come after your wife. Is he a slut? Or just the cheating wife?

I understand it but it's not something I agree with. People don't like the idea of other people having a lot of sex because religious cunts gaveled us to believe that its immoral. I think that's the main reason.
I think it's more biological than that.
Man can breed with whoever they want because it's deeply ingrained in them. But women are more monotonous than men for the sake of raising children
Also, for people to have a lot of sex partners, they have a higher risk of catching STDs. So people tend to stay away from or questions those who have many partners.
I mean that's a part of it as well. The fact that men can reproduce more offspring in a lifetime than a woman. This is why I said religion is the *main* reason and not the only reason.
The only pushback I'd have on your argument is that nobody who has lots of promiscuous sex is actually trying to reproduce with it. In fact usually it's the opposite, their trying desperately not to get pregnant because the risk for them is higher and of course they don't want a kid.
You make a good point, but, it is only recently in human evolution that we have more effectively (through contraceptive devises) been able to separate sex from reproduction. We have been more able to "fool" mother nature. I think DarkDemonic is talking about long term human evolution as a whole and not just the last 60-100 years. DDD- forgive me if I misrepresent you.
I agree with you, for the most part. However, does a woman who doesn't quite fit this expectation deserve to be shamed for it? Also, are there any men who are slut shamed? If not, this would support your argument.
I have seen sociological/sociobiological arguments that suggest evolutionary advantages to women who sleep with several men. I wont get into this here.
No, they don't deserve to be shamed for it, but they WILL be shamed for it. People cannot help what is deeply ingrained in them. The people who "slut shame" can't help their impulses any more than promiscuous people can help their desire. Disgust is a major emotion for a reason.
