I used to have a friend who's pet rooster would be friendly towards white people and attack anyone with dark skin. He even made a post about it here. I never understood why the rooster was like that. To answer your question, it's not normal. XD

It's normal to dislike the general similarities of any race/ ethnicity.

Everyone preaches not to be prejudice but I guarantee you those same people lock their car doors when going into the black part of town. Statistically there is more crime in black neighborhoods (FBI table 12), so I try to stay out of them. With that said some of the nicest and most loyal friends I've had were black, but I still wouldn't be caught walking the streets of the black areas late at night.

Genetically, DNA proves there's no such thing as race, we're all humans and related to each other as well as to apes and other animals.

I tend to mistrust black men in my country.

Young black men around my area are by and large the men flouting rules (like, don't smoke in the subway), making unwanted advances towards women and displaying aggressive attitudes in public. Most of them are Nigerian. I've caught myself wondering if perhaps they are actually less socially advanced than young white men. Now, I usually slap my hand for being racist and silence the thought in horror that I could imagine such a thing, but the question is still there and it won't go away. Yes, they were colonised and oppressed for years and years by whites. But before that happened, was Nigeria an oasis of freedom and equality? Could they ever have become one, if only white people hadn't got involved? I don't know and need to do my research. Looking at these angry young black men in town, I wonder - why is their aggression so overt? Why is there such a crude emphasis on dominance and penises? Not that young white men don't show aggression and dominance and misuse their penises too - but young white men at least try to hide the fact that they're acting like animals, unless they are from very dysfunctional and abusive or neglectful families.

I don't tend to see this in white or asian men. I sometimes see it in Algerians, but much less often, and it's often connected to radical Islam, which is a whole different issue.

My relative mistrust of black men is because of what I've seen. Maybe it's racist. But where I've seen antisocial or threatening behaviour happening in this very multiethnic city in which I live, it's usually being done by black men.

That being said, I can distinguish a Nigerian from a Cameroonian by their facial features. The trouble doesn't tend to come from them. I've also met and worked with Cameroonians whom I've got on quite well with. I've admired their courage and determination. But I tend to mistrust rather than trust Nigerians before I get to know them.

And then when I return to Britain I see black British man who are as British as I am and the colour of their skin almost registers like the colour of a person's hair. Almost.

I dont dislike any particular race just because of their race. What i dislike is immigration laws that allow an influx of culturally incompatible races. They create enclaves, ghettos and unrest. I believe western countries should only allow culturally similar races in. Arabs, asians and indians do not mix well in western society. Many dont even learn the language. Indians just seem to recreate third world conditions wherever they go living in large groups in small apartments etc and creating slum like neighbourhoods. Property prices plummet as a result. Indians and chinese have taken over entire districts where i live. They have bought out and started businesses and only employ there own kind. There are entire malls full of shops owned and run by chinese in which chinese shop. Theres something very wrong. Its not racist, its just common sense.

I am a black man and I can tell you this, yes it is normal don't feel bad about it, we don't care especially those of us still living in Africa.

I also hate some other races, top of the list is Indians... I also hate some other blacks especially those who are not members of my tribe

You didn’t give any extra information so it’s hard to say. I voted no but I do find myself making assumptions about other races or having racist thoughts then I have to consciously correct myself and remember that they’re all just people searching for happiness in this life just like I am.

Normal enough for a human. We all have our dislikes and biases. Maybe just stay the out of the way and keep your mouth shut though. No one needs you starting shit and causing exta friction irl because of your closed-mindedness.

People are people. racism is a state of mind. There is trash in every bin so do not spread hate, spread love.

A lot of people will simply dismiss you as racist however, a lot of the reasons why you may have a dislike for black people is your experience with multiple black people and also it could be things you've read and heard that causes your dislike response. You may have just not met a black person that causes you to change your mind.

To (maybe) answer your question, what I personally don't like is their "victim-mentality." Yes, I obviously know the horrors of slavery, and how Jim Crow was only a TINY bit less brutal, if at all. However, plenty of other groups throughout history have been disenfranchised- Jews certainly come to mind.

While the aforementioned Jews have done everything in their power to make the best of their lives, many black (not saying the majority, but certainly more than there should be) seem to prefer living ghetto or borderline-ghetto lives over significant self-improvement, because many would rather blame whitey for society's ills than do what they can to make the best lives for themselves. Need I mention the number of baby mamas and NUMEROUS children that they have? Seems they almost enjoy being enabled by welfare.

Before any snowflakes call me racist, let me mention that I KNOW how there are plenty of sophisticated blacks who are extremely honest and hardworking and do whatever they can to be self-sufficient. However, stereotypes are based on commonalities, and so I understand why skepticism exists against African-Americans (or whatever country you're reporting from).
